COUP D'ETAT GALLERY STORE (2011)

Ranging in size from 8 inches to 8 feet, these beautiful sculptures bear a variety of finishes from gleaming polished stainless steel to rust encrusted mild steel. This array of hearts showcases Gadeken’s many techniques for working with metal and include delicate hand-beaten copper hearts, giant mechanical spinning fire hearts, hearts created out of recycled material, and finely finished stainless steel hearts. Hearts with full color LEDs light up with the full spectrum of colors through knobs that control the output of red, green and blue light. Large hearts are defined by sinuous curves created from 8” flat bar, and more delicate pieces invoke minimalist lines painted bone white. 23 LOVE celebrates a symbol of love, to show there is always room for a little more love in the world.
