El Corazon
This gorgeous, unusual heart presents a shield of copper on one side, and a woven sheet of the same semi-precious metal on the other. The heart embodies the safety (protection) and the interconnectivity that is awakened when our hearts are open to the world.
The front of the heat haa a 3' in diameter copper hand beaten panel and with concentric strips of copper. The back of the heart was completely covered in woven copper sheet. This piece was created for the Hearts for the Arts Program and sold for $10,000 in the first few seconds of the online auction. It now resides outside a home in Napa Valley.
